Kobrakoil Cables p101

Kobrakoil® Cables

 (11)
Kobrakoils® are coiled steel cables. Either galvanized, stainless or plastic coated cables can be coiled. They are available in any length up to 30 ft. and if plastic coated in any color. Kobrakoils® can be terminated with just about any type of hardware. Special fittings can be designed if a standard fitting isn't available. A 7 inch long kobrakoil® stretches easily to ten feet in the smaller diameter. As tension is relaxed it snaps back to its original kobrakoil® form. The bicycle lock cable illustrated is 3/16 inch 7 x 7 galvanized cable coated with vinyl to an outside diameter 5/16 inch. Fully extended it is 6 ft. long, when fully retracted is only 6 inch long (included looped ends).

Fused Cut Wire Rope & Cable p102

Fused cut Wire Rope and Cable

No need to get unraveled by frayed cable ends. Loos electrically cuts mechanical cable at high speed, fusing all end wires together, saving you time, reducing waste, cutting inventory, and greatly improving your product. Loos also offers mechanically cut cable for both plastic coated and bare cable. Cut to your tolerance on precision production machines that cut true at high speeds.

Lock-Clad Cable p100

Lock- Clad Cable, Galvanized

 (4)

Lock-clad cable is manufactured by swaging an aluminum tubing over a 7 x 7 or 7 x 19 galvanized or stainless steel cable. Originally developed for aircraft control applications, Lock-clad has found additional industrial applications where the following properties are advantageous

  1. Stretch is reduced substantially
  2. Sag is virtually eliminated
  3. A smooth cylindrical surface finish allows lock-clad to be sealed when routed through pressurized bulkheads
  4. Vibration or "singing" is reduced
